Becoming a Member of American Reportage

American Reportage is an Limited Liability Company incorporated in the state of Delaware and consists of a Management Team as well as a group of contributing photojournalists.

We do not accept unsolicited applications for membership.

While we do not have a schedule for adding members, we do look forward to welcoming exceptional visual journalists to our membership in the future.

Since 1987, the city has been designated as a distressed municipality under the state's Act 47, a law that created a recovery program that's helped some 29 municipalities in the state stay afloat. The city now has fewer residents now than the local steel mill had employees (14,000) in its heyday. The mill closed for good 20 years ago. With few good job opportunities available, children who grow up in the area may be faced with tough economic times when they are ready to join the workforce.
A snorkeler peers into the depths of a spring hidden deep in a swamp on Florida's Gulf Coast. Normally clear, this spring turns green when water levels in the overlying swamp overwhelm the pressure in the underlying aquifer, allowing dark surface water to seep into the cave. During the rainy season, surface water infilitration can obliterate visibility make the cave undivable. As aquifer levels decline, intrusion events become more frequent.
